Fits American Girl Dolls and other 18 inch dolls.
Materials:Size 10 US (6 mm) needles Worsted weight yarn (used Red Heart Kids) Gauge: 4 sts = 1 inch Instructions: CO 96 sts. Ruffle at bottom of skirt: Work 2 rows in garter stitch; then work 6 rows of stockinette stitch. To create the ruffle, work a decrease row by K2 tog across row (48 sts). Knit 3 rows. Begin skirt: On a RS row, work K2, P1 across row. Purl across on wrong side row. Repeat last two rows until skirt measures 4½" from cast on row. Knit 3 rows. BO. Sew back seam. Using a crochet hook, chain 22" to create the tie at the waist. Using the crochet hook, feed the tie through one of the rows at the waist; tie in front. See Abbreviations and the Glossary for help. |
