Each piece is about 8" long and 3¾" wide. CO 36 sts. Knit 4 rows. Work 7 rows of St st. Knit 5 rows. Work another 7 rows of St st. Knit 4 rows. BO. Knit it using odd balls and make stripes or substitute another stitch pattern as desired. Finishing Referring to diagram, seam short end to long end as shown with RS of both pieces together. Fold back so that the points 2 line up and points 1 line up; both the front and the back should have the RS facing outward. Seam from point 1 to 2. 
Add fringe if desired.
