Angel Hair Yarn, situated in the most favorable part of Nashville near the Green Hills Mall shopping area, is my favorite store. An incredible selection of high quality, fashion yarns, supplies, designer patterns and books are abundant. Along with a caring staff, your shopping trip will be complete. Store owners, Pam and Andrea are dedicated artisans and instructors that encourage and respect the creativity and fashion of their customers. Deb, also an instructor here at this shop, spends endless time and patience teaching her talented art form to many thankful patrons. Ask to see their knitting, and you will be so inspired.

As a beginner knitter, I can only encourage you to stop and experience this yarn shop for yourself. Also, please check out their selection of washable wools and yarns.

Angel Hair is more than a yarn store.

Three years ago, I was new to knitting. Angel Hair was recommended to me as the best place in town. And, I have been going back ever since. The owners are great. They take the time to help with selecting patterns and yarn for a particular project. They help with any project problems that might arise. They encourage young knitters from grade school on up.

Also, they readily share ideas, techniques, expertise, and table space. Many times, I have gone to the shop just to knit and commune with other knitters. There is always a friendly face to greet me. Angel Hair offers knitting classes such as intarsia, knitting socks, finishes, beginning knitting, and lots more. In short, the people at Angel Hair recognize the desire people have to knit and they make it easy. Andrea, Pam and Deb are the greatest. I am glad I am a part of such a fine group. I recommend Angel Hair to anyone who wants to get quality yarn, quality service and good friends.

More than just a full service yarn shop, Angel Hair Yarn Co. is a haven for area knitters. In business since 1994, co-owners Andrea Jones and Pam Schreiner have established a true knitting community through their shop. For many knitters (and for those who crochet too), AHYC is a home away from home, where one can get advice about any project, take a class, or just hang out and knit. Of course, the yarn selection is fantastic. From the latest designer yarns to the more affordable, needles, notions, patterns, and a terrific selection of buttons, AHYC has it all. And their annual sale is not to be missed! Pam and Andrea keep up with the latest knitting trends too so there is always something new and exciting to look forward to. Whether you come into the shop or deal with AHYC via mail/internet, you will be treated as a very special customer and that feeling never goes away.

A true full service knitting place; just moved to new location with improved displays. Accessible from I-75 and 24 (near Tennessee Aquarium, large freshwater life center). Very wide selection of yarns including Classic Elite, Manos, Plymouth, Reynolds, Jo Sharp and many, many others. Features: good selection of needles, knitting accessories, and patterns; wonderful display models; swatches of current yarns; odd ball sales. Also, will mail and/or order knitting items for you. But the best part of this store are the knowledgeable, friendly people! I have always received excellent servic by mail, by phone and in person. I consider this my LYS, and I live over 500 miles away.

The Knaughty Knitter, opened in November 2005, is a wonderful yarn shop located in the downtown area of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The Knaughty Knitter offers a comfortable, pleasant and welcoming shop in this college community. Located in an old, cheery yellow clapboard house, the shop's 3 rooms are bulging with wonderful and classic yarns from your favorite companies. You'll find perennial favorites, such as Cascade 220, Noro, Reynolds Lopi, Berroco and Plymouth Encore, just to mention a few. You'll also find gorgeous alpacas, silks, wools, cottons, and blends. Spinners will find hand spindles and fiber, too. Classes are available, including dying, spinning, and sock-knitting. Not only a wonderful and friendly place to shop for yarn, patterns, books, and knitting tools, but a good place to just sit and stitch and enjoy a moment with other knitters. Stop by and meet Meredith, the owner. You'll be glad you did.

Several years ago I was visting Memphis from my home town in Charleston, SC. At that time we did not have a decent yarn shop and I was thrilled to find this store in Memphis. I have gone back several times and was very impressed with the knowledgeable staff and the cozy atmosphere.

Memphis went for about 5 years without a yarn shop, then 4 or 5 opened within a short period of time. None however can compare to Yarn To Go. The selection is huge and the staff and owner are knowledgeable and extremely warm and friendly. When sitting there and knitting, you feel like you're in your own living room. Everyone is made to feel comfortable, from the novice to the master knitter. Even the other customers are always willing to lend a helping hand to get you through a project. Any knitter passing through or visiting Memphis should make it a point to stop in the shop.
