The Wool Baa
169 High Street
Herne Bay
Kent CT6 5AQ

Reviewed by Rose Baylie

This established shop is owned and run by Charlotte who at 22 already knows much about knitting. The shop stocks Sirdar, Patons, Noro, Designer Yarns, Adriafil, Louisa Harding, Da Masi, Strada, Opal sock yarn and also has a large range of haberdashery and cross stitch kits. Good range of buttons, beads DMC embroidery threads and Anchor tapestry wool.

Charlotte has her finger on the pulse of her shop and also offers to have items knitted for those who like knitteds but can't knit or do not have the time. There are also garments for sale especially babies and toddlers.

A monthly knitting group is held where people can go along and seek advice or just knit and chat and have a cuppa. A good social evening.

So if you're in East Kent pop in and see her, she's a lovely girl always willing to help and talk through any pattern for thos wishing to be a bit more adventurous but unsure of the next step. Combine a trip to the Wool Baa with an ice cream along the sea front and maybe a bag of chips! 5/07
