Supplies for knitting, needlepoint, cross-stitch, and rug hooking. Wonderful shop with lots of natural light and plenty to see. Hours vary with the season.

I visited this shop and had a wonderful time - prices on everything and an owner who couldn't have been nicer and more helpful.

I've been an enthusiastic promoter of Sea Needles for years. I began visiting the Delaware shore years ago and found this delightful treasure. The first time I walked in I knew I was at home. Ginny, Elaine, and their staff are always friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, and happy to help. The shop is filled with yummy yarn, along with a full range of patterns, books, kits, gift items and accessories-even knitting jewelry. The web site has only a sampling of their many yarns and a few pics of the inside of the store. There is no way all of the irresistible, luscious fibers, buttons, fabric, and patterns can be listed. More and more classes are being added for knitters, crocheters, and needlepoint enthusiasts of all levels. With all of this plus tax-free shopping, I have everything I need to fuel my knitting habit. Whether you live in Southern Delaware, Eastern Maryland, Northern Virginia or are just visiting the beach don't miss Sea Needles. It's the best yarn shop on Delmarva!

I just returned from our annual vacation in Bethany Beach, and must report that I was sorely disappointed in my visit to Sea Needles. My visit there is usually the highlight of my vacation, but on this day I felt that I observed some never-before-seen attitude in the staff. This shop no longer lists any prices on or near any of the yarn (no cute little shelf notes, no tied on labels, no nothing!). When I asked the ladies chatting behind the counter about this, I was told rather condescendingly, that "no, there are no prices listed here," and there was no offer to look up a price for me. Perhaps other customers don't find pricing necessary, but I love to mix different yarns for shawls and throws and price might make a difference in what I choose. The sale bin was also empty. What a sad turn of events.

I am a new knitter and I found it very difficult to find a LYS in this area, close to where I lived-and Delaware is so small as it is! SWS was just what I was looking for. It is jammed-packed with lucious yarns, knitting needles, magazines and books, and pre-packaged kits for sweaters, bags, hat and mitten combos and more all at very reasonable prices sans tax! The shop owner, Sheryl is extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the craft as she's been knitting for over twenty years now. One other plus is that SWS is just on the other side of the road from the local knitting guild! SWS has an email newsletter, a written newsletter and classes for anyone interested in learning knitting techniques, beginner to advanced.

A feast for the fibre lover. To say that this is a knitting store is not doing justice to all that they have to offer. Machine knitters, crocheters and weavers will find delightful yarns also. Within this shop is a large selection of yarns, all types and reasonably priced.

An amazing array of finished projects hang in the store for inspiration, many of these are examples of what will be taught in the classes which are offered frequently. Every level of knitting is addressed in the classes they offer. Once again, the machine knitters and crocheters are not left wanting. They even offer a Finishing Night pizza party. Customers are welcomed and assistance is always there if you need it. The staff is very friendly and never pushy. Going to Stitches With Style is a wonderful experience.
