This store is located in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada- a small city about 15 minutes north of Edmonton, the provincial capital.
Burwood House is owned and operated by May Wooford. She and her staff are friendly and outgoing and make any visit to the store a pleasure. They carry everything for the spinner to the knitter. Every type of wool imaginable and that includes bison and alpaca which is purchased from local suppliers. In addition, they carry all the latest in pattern books and equipment. If you have anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of hours to browse and love to look at and handle wool - this is the shop to visit.

Clara Schmuland has a large store in the basement of her home. Brother dealer, Jones Tones Paints, yarns - cottons, 100% pure wool, acrylics, (beautiful woolens from her
own sheep). Machine and hand knitting patterns, needles and yarns, crochet patterns.
Classes and workshops are available in Jones Tones or machine knitting. Clara is knowledgeable about both machine and hand knitting and always
very helpful.

Marjorie is an authorized dealer for Brother Knitting Machines Sales and Service, the Canadian Distributor for Engusa Knitting Products and has the Knit-Wits Knitting Club meet at her home. Marjorie is knowledgeable and always very helpful. Is in Edmonton at the Meadowlark Market every Thursday.

Sonja Grossenbacher runs her business out of her home. Knitting machines, yarns - hand and machine, crochet thread, machine and hand made sweaters, hand made dolls and supplies. Sonja is
always very helpful and prompt in filling her orders - by mail or in person. Very reasonable prices and many great sale prices. She delivers
quite regularly to the city of Edmonton and will do mail orders as she lives in the country. Will order what you want.
