Estimated Yarn Amounts For Women's Pullover Sweaters
At times you'll find a knitting pattern doesn't give you the amount of yarn needed for the pattern. Or perhaps it tells you the number of ounces you need, but not the yards or meters (see Substituting Yarn for more help on why you should substitute by yards or meters and not ounces or grams).
These are the estimated number of yards or meters needed to knit a standard woman's long sleeved pullover sweater for various sizes and gauges. Keep in mind these are estimates and assumes the sweater is knit in stockinette. Some stitch patterns use more yarn than others.
