Lace Pullover Sweater Knitting Pattern

An openwork sweater for warm weather, this pattern features an easy all over lace pattern. The drop sleeves makes it easy to maintain the lace pattern because there are no decreases. It has a wide deeply ribbed neck.

Sizes:
Small (Medium)
Finished Chest Measurement: 35 (39)"

Materials:
Mikado by Crystal Palace Yarns
(ribbon with a beautiful luster) 50% rayon/50% cotton
112 yards/50 grams
9 (10) balls Color 7301-Amethyst
Size 8 US (5 mm) needles
Size 9 US (5.5 mm) needles
Crochet Hook size H-8 (5 mm).

Gauge:
20 sts = 4" on larger needles in St st

Instructions:

Lace Pullover Sweater Knitting Pattern

Pattern Stitch
Horseshoe Stitch: Multiple of 10

Row 1 (RS): k1, *yo, k3, sl 1, k2tog, psso, k3, yo, k1,; rep from *, end k1
Row 2 and all even rows: Purl
Row 3: k1, *k1, yo, k2, sl 1, k2tog, psso, k2, yo, k2; rep from *, end k1
Row 5: k1, *k2, yo, k1, sl 1, k2tog, psso, k1, yo, k3; rep from *, end k1
Row 7: k1, *k3, yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo, k4; rep from *, end k1
Row 8: Purl

Rep these 8 rows.

Back
With smaller needles, CO 92 (102) sts and work in k1, p1 rib for 2".
Change to larger needles and begin pattern st. Work even until piece measures approximately 18" and you have completed row 8.
Work k3, p3 rib and continue in rib for 4 (5)".
BO in pat.

Front
Work as for Back until piece measures 3 (4)" less than Back.
On next RS row, work across 36 (38) sts. Join 2nd ball of yarn and BO 20 (26) sts, complete row. Working both sides at the same time with separate balls of yarn, at each neck edge dec 1 st every row 10 times.
Work even until piece measures same as Back.
BO in pat.

Sleeves
With smaller needles, CO 82 sts for both sizes.
Work in k1, p1 rib for 1".
Change to larger needles and p, inc 10 sts evenly across row. Begin pattern st.
Work even until piece measures approximately 9" and you have completed row 8.
BO.

Finishing
Sew shoulders together.
With crochet hook work a round of single crochet around neck.
Mark 9½" down from each shoulder seam. Sew in sleeves.
Sew sleeve seams and side seams.
Weave in ends on WS.
