Easy Cropped PulloverDesigned by Judy Nemish![]() small, medium, large Finished Measurements: Chest: 40", 44", 48" Width At Upper Arm: 19", 20", 21" Length: 21", 22", 23" Gauge: 8 sts and 10 rows equals 4" using 12 mm (US 17) needles and 2 strands of yarn Materials: 4 (4, 4) balls Sirdar Snowflake (each 50 gms) 3 (3, 3) balls Sirdar Denim Chunky (each 100 gms) 10 mm and 12 mm needles (US 15 and 17) 7 mm crochet hook (US K-10 1/2) Instructions: Back Cast on 38 (42, 46) sts using one strand of each yarn and 10 mm needles. Work in k1, p1 rib for 3", inc 1 st at each end of needle on last row 40 (44, 48) sts. Change to 12 mm needles and work in st st until piece measures 11" (12", 13") from beg with RS facing for next row. Armhole Shaping Cast off 1 st at beg of next 4 rows - 36 (40, 44)sts. Work even until piece measures 21" (22", 23") from beg, ending with RS facing. Cast off loosely. Front Work same as back including armhole shaping until 17" (18", 19") from beg. Neck Shaping With RS facing, k across 14 (16, 18) sts. Join 2 more balls of yarns. Cast off 8 sts for neck. K 14 (16, 18)sts. Working both sides at the same time, dec 1 st at each neck edge on the next 4 rows - 10 (12, 14) sts on each shoulder. Continue to work in st st until piece measures same as back to cast off edge. Sleeves Cast on 16 (16, 18) sts with 10 mm needles. Work in k1, p1 rib for 3", inc 4 sts evenly on last row. Change to 12 mm needles, work in st st increasing 1 st each side every 4th row until there are 38 (40, 41) sts. Work even until sleeve measures 19" (19", 19½") from beg, ending with with RS facing. Cap Shaping Cast off 1 st at the beg of the next 4 rows - 34 (36, 38) sts. Cast off. Finishing Sew shoulder seams. Sew in sleeves, matching center of sleeve top to shoulder seam and matching underarm to sleeve cap shaping. Sew sleeve and side seams, weaving in all ends. With RS facing and one strand of each yarn and 7 mm crochet hook, work one round of single crochet around neck edge. Fasten off. See Abbreviations and the Glossary for help. |
