Warm And Soft Slippers Knitting Pattern

Knit Slippers

These easy to knit slippers are warm and oh so very soft. They knit up fast at a big gauge on two needles like socks knit on two needles. The slippers fit most women.

Gauge:
11 sts=4" in St st with one strand of each yarn held together

Materials:
Size 11 US (8 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
Elastic thread
Cotton Chenille by Crystal Palace Yarns
1 skein Color #2615 Celery (Color A)
1 skein Color #1903 Loden (Color B)
(You may use only one skein of the desired color)
100% cotton
98 yards/50 grams
Whisper by Crystal Palace Yarns
Color #2261 Soft Green (Color C)
100% microfiber nylon
97 yards/50 grams

Instructions:

Knit Slippers knitting pattern Beginning at the cuff (A in photo), with one strand of Colors A and C held together, CO 24 sts. For wider feet, CO 2 to 4 extra sts and include those sts after the cuff sts are bound off. Additional yarn may be required.
Knit k1, p1 rib for 3" as follows:

BO 6 sts, knit 12 sts in k1, p1 rib, BO rem sts. Cut Color A.

Foot (B):
With one strand Colors B and C held together, knit the 12 sts rem on needle in St st for 5" for a small foot, 6" for a medium foot, or 7" for a larger foot. End with WS row completed. Cut Color B.

Toe (C):
With one strand of Colors A and C held together, dec 1 st each end every other row 3 times:
K1, SSK, k across to the last 3 sts, k2tog, k1

Inc one st each end every other row 3 times:
K1, k into front and back of next st, k across to last 2 sts, k into front and back of next st, k1
Cut Color A.

Foot (D):
With one strand of Colors B and C held together, knit the 12 sts rem on needle in St st for 5" for a small foot, 6" for a medium foot, or 7" for a larger foot. End with WS row completed. Cut Color B.

Heel (E):
With one strand of Colors A and C held together, dec 1 st each end every other row 3 times:
K1, SSK, k across to the last 3 sts, k2tog, k1

Inc one st each end every other row 3 times:
K1, k into front and back of next st, k across to last 2 sts, k into front and back of next st, k1

BO.

Finishing:
With Cotton Chenille, seam back seam of cuff. Fold in half. Seam BO edge of heel to bottom of cuff. Seam sides of heel together. Seam foot together. Weave in elastic around ribbing of slippers. Weave in ends on WS.
