Butterfly Knitting Chart
Designed by Barbara Breiter
This knitting design uses 33 stitches and 45 rows.
The butterfly is reversible; the reverse side shows the butterfly as a mirror image. On one side the butterfly will be stockinette and on the other reverse stockinette.
Use it to add to any knitting project such as a plain child's sweater, scarf, or blanket. A face or dishcloth pattern that uses the design is available as well.
Charts are read beginning in the lower right corner; Row 1 and odd rows are read right to left and Row 2 and even rows are read left to right. On Row 1 and odd rows, the white squares are purled and the grey squares are knit; on Row 2 and even rows, the white squares are knit and the grey squares are purled.
You could also knit the butterfly in one color and the background in a different color if you wish.
