Children's Slippers Knitting Pattern

Children's Slippers Knitting Pattern

These easy slippers fit kids of all sizes; just adjust the length of the foot.

Gauge:
18 sts=4" in St st

Materials:
Worsted weight yarn
Size 8 US (5 mm) needles

Instructions
CO 29 sts.
Row 1 (RS): Knit
Row 2: K9, P1, K9, P1, K9

Rep these 2 rows until slipper measures 2" less than child's foot.
Work k1, p1 ribbing for 2" for toe.
Cut yarn. Thread yarn through tapestry needle and slip through sts on needle. Pull tightly to close toe.
Seam and sew heel in a T shape.

Make I-cord twice the length of slipper or crochet a chain. Run through the top edge of slipper and tie in front.
