Little Shoe Christmas Ornament Knitting Pattern

Knit by Sarah Bradberry.

Materials
4.00mm needles (6 US) and worsted weight yarn OR 3.00mm needles (3 US) and DK weight yarn
Colors needed: White, Red

Instructions
Using white cast on 48 sts.
Knit 2 rows.
Change to Red yarn
K19, K2tog, K6, K2tog, K to end. Turn
Knit one row even.
K18, K2tog, K6, K2tog, K to end. Turn.
Knit one row even.
K17, K2tog, K6, K2tog, K to end. Turn.
Knit one row even.
K16, K2tog, K6, K2tog, K to end. Turn.
Knit one row even. Turn. (40 sts)
You are facing the right side of the work. K15, K2tog, K6, K2tog, Turn.
**Slip first stitch, K6, K2tog, Turn** Repeat from ** to ** 7 more times (29 sts)
Next Row: Slip first stitch. K6, K2tog, K to end of all sts on needle. Turn.
K2tog, K8, K2tog, K5, K2tog, K7, K2tog (24 sts). Turn.
Change to white and work 4 rows st st.
Work K1, P1 rib for 2 rows.
Cast Off.
Sew together bottom of foot (cast on row) and back of shoe/sock.
Sew in ends.
With White yarn, doubled, lace up the coloured area of the shoe, using your slipstitch bumps as lacing holes, and tie a bow.
Sew a loop of yarn to top back corner of shoe for hanging on tree.
