Holly Knitting Pattern Ornament

Use this quick to knit pattern for holly as an ornament, pin, or Christmas package decoration.

Gauge:
Not vital

Size:
Approximately 4" (10 cm) wide and 2½" (6 cm) tall

Materials:
Small amount of red and green worsted weight yarn Size 9 US (5.5 mm) needles

Instructions
Holly-Make 3

With green yarn, CO 2 st.

Row 1: k2
Row 2: p1 through front and back loop twice
CO 2 st.
Row 3: k6
CO 2 st.
Row 4: p8
Row 5: ssk, k4, k2tog
Row 6: p2tog, p2, p2tog
CO 2 st.
Row 7: k6
CO 2 st.
Row 8: p8
Row 9: ssk, k4, k2tog
Row 10: p2tog, p2, p2tog
Row 11: ssk, k2tog
BO.

Finishing
If needed, block pieces.
Arrange the three pieces fanned out as desired and sew together in the back.
With red yarn, make french knots for berries.
Attach a loop for hanging or a pin.
