Baby Pullover Sweater Knitting PatternDesigned by Joyce MesecarNewborn to 3 months Gauge: 20 sts and 24 rows=4" in pattern stitch Materials: 1 skein Red Heart Baby Sport Econo 100% acrylic 7 ounces/675 yards Size 4 US (3.5 mm) needles Instructions Front CO 44 sts. Work k1, p1 ribbing for 5 rows. Begin Pattern Stitch Rows 1, 3, 5 and 7: *k4, p4; rep from *, end k4 Rows 2, 4, 6 and 8: *p4, k4; rep from *, end p4 Rows 9, 11, 13 and 15: *p4, k4; rep from *, end p4 Rows 10, 12, 14 and 16: *k4, p4; rep from *, end k4 Work Rows 1-16 3 times total, then rows 1-12 Shape Neck Keeping to pat, work 8 sts and place on holder, BO to last 8 sts, k4, p4. Work in pat 3 more rows. BO. Place sts from holder back on needle, attach yarn and complete as for other side. Pick up 36 sts along neck edge and work K1, P1 ribbing for 5 rows. BO. Back Work as for Front. Sew shoulder seams. Sleeves Measure 4" down each side and pick up 38 sts. Work Pattern Stitch 12 rows.
